Your Questions

Can you show me what can be done to change my smile before treatment is started?
Absolutely! We have the ability to show you how your smile can be enhanced through our dental imaging system. Call today for your free consultation and imaging.

Do you accept referrals?
Of course! The highest compliment you can give us is to refer your family and friends. Patients that are happy with the care and service they receive from us are the best source of new clients. Our goal is to make each visit to our office so pleasant you will want to share your experience with your friends and family!

Do you accept my insurance plan?
Many of our patients have dental benefits. If you do, congratulations! You are fortunate. We will help you determine the coverage you have available. Jenny, our patient services administrator, will help in every way possible in filing your claim and handling insurance questions from our office on your behalf. We are happy to file claims to all insurance companies. Sometimes insurance companies require that you see a dentist that has signed up as a provider with their company. It is a good idea for you to call your insurance company prior to scheduling your first appointment with us to be sure that they do not require you to see a dentist on their list of dental providers.

What different payment options do you provide?
We accept cash, personal checks, MasterCard, Visa and Discover. We also offer several payment options so we can tailor your payment plan to meet your specific needs. Just mention this to us when we set up your treatment plan, and we’ll work out a solution! We are pleased to offer Care Credit, a line of credit exclusively for dental, vision and medical needs. This company provides maximum flexibility for all types of dental care. For more information on Care Credit simply click on the link below.

Will I be charged if I need to cancel an appointment?
As the patient, you are responsible for keeping your scheduled appointment. However, as a courtesy, we will try to telephone you to confirm your appointment. A specific amount of time is reserved for each of our patients. While we certainly understand that situations arise, it is appreciated that least 24-hour notice is given if you need to reschedule. We try not to charge for missed or cancelled appointments, but in some cases it may be necessary.

How can I safely whiten my teeth?
We offer three different, safe whitening methods for you. All three have been researched by the American Dental Association and have been proven safe for tooth structure. We offer ZOOM 2 an in-office tooth whitening procedure, the NiteWhite take home kit, and prescription strength Crest White Strips Supreme. We can tell you more – just make an appointment and we’ll talk it over!

What makes you different that any other dental practice I can visit?
You will find that we are dedicated to providing patient care that is comprehensive, courteous and responsive to individual needs and preferences of each patient. We take great pride in the quality of service we offer. You will find that our office is much more comprehensive than most offices and that we take time with you, our patients, to get to know you more as a person and not just as a set of teeth or the next patient in line. We offer a variety of amenities to make your time with us enjoyable. I really do not like visiting the dentist.

Is there anything you can do to help me relax?
From the moment you walk in our door you will find our office pleasant and inviting. Dr. Nicewander and his team are compassionate and caring. They enjoy providing a fun, light-hearted environment for your maximum comfort. Pillows, blankets, DVD’s, CD’s, and cable TV are available to make your visit more enjoyable. We also offer nitrous oxide, known as laughing gas, to relax you during your visit. In some cases, oral sedatives can also be used. I want my front teeth to look better, but I do not want to wear braces.

What would you recommend?
There are a variety of procedures available to change your smile. Some of the options are porcelain veneers, porcelain crowns, or tooth colored fillings. All of which can be explained to you further if you are interested. We offer an imaging system that enables us to give you an idea of how your smile can be enhanced by these procedures. Another option available to change your smile is Invisalign. We are excited to offer this treatment that allows us to straighten one or more of your teeth without braces!
